An outdoor lounge chair in the font of Lammhults
O38 is an outdoor lounge chair designed for Swedish furniture manufacturer Lammhults. Taking design ques from both indoor and outdoor furniture typographies, O38 is created using chunky 38 mm steel tubes complemented with a perforated seat and backrest. Inspired by classic Lammhults designs such as the S70-series, O38 was imagined as a utalitarian yet distinct and playful piece of furniture working equally well in an outdoor and indoor setting. The goal was to create something equally functional and comfortable, kind and welcoming but still a bold addition to any garden, patio or balcony.
The name ”O38” is both a nod to the classic S70 series as well as describing the slightly chunky, 38 millimeter tubular steel that the chair is made out of. O38 is presented in a variety of Lammhults signature colors, with removable soft cushions upholstered with water repellant outdoor fabric by Kvadrat — ensuring the chair will stand the test of time throughout many sun drenched cocktail parties, spontaneous meetings and long evenings under the stars.
